Can a solar panel that once sailed thousands of miles at sea be transformed into a smart chair, a green energy device, or even a piece of urban public art?

Porrima, founded by Acer Group founder Stan Shih, and the Solar School, founded by Professor Ai Hechang of the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, are jointly hosting the "2025 First Porrima Solar Panel Recycling Design Competition."

College and university students are invited to unleash their creativity and breathe new life into retired solar panels!

All winning designs will have the opportunity to travel the world aboard the Polyma Future Ship, showcasing the green innovation capabilities of Taiwan's younger generation.
 Competition Highlights​​​​​​​
 Eligibility: Students currently studying at domestic and overseas colleges and universities (including recent graduates and freshmen)​​​​​​​
 Total prize money exceeds NT$220,000​​​​​​​
 Applicants who complete the finals but do not win the award will also receive a NT$5,000 subsidy.​​​​​​​
