Fo Guang University's Department of Industrial Media Design shines once again!

2025 Home Appliance Creative Value-Added Competition
— We won another award!
In the "2025 Home Appliance Creative Value-Added Competition" guided by the Industrial Development Agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and organized by the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre, the Department of Product and Media Design of Fo Guang University once again took center stage—winning the silver award in the national general category.
This year, P+M students Li Yiheng, Lu Yincheng, and Zhong Haomin collaborated on their project "#CapsuleCocktailMachine," which made it to the finals. Ultimately, their innovative thinking, complete design process, and mature presentation won high praise from the judges, earning them a prize of NT$30,000.（That huge certificate in the photo is really cool!）

Students' creativity deserves to be seen.
From research and conception to sketches, models, presentations, and final presentations, these students consistently demonstrated the most precious genes of the design department: starting with problems, solving them with design, and shining with creativity.

And more importantly…
The students took sustainability (SDGs), user experience, and manufacturing feasibility into account.
This isn't just about making pretty things; it's about creating designs that are truly usable and needed by the market.
