Despite the chilly winter winds, nothing could stop the successful hosting of the NISSAN Innovation Challenge Lecture, the third session in the Fo Guang University Department of Product and Media Design Class of 2020’s Career Exploration and Design Lecture Series.

The keynote speaker for this event was Ms. Huang Yi-Chun, Senior Manager at Yulon Nissan Motor Co. In addition to exploring career development opportunities in the automotive industry, Ms. Huang also introduced the latest X-TRAIL e-POWER SUV, showcasing its innovative “electric vehicle that doesn’t require charging” technology and sharing details about the accompanying video competition.

Participants were also treated to a hands-on vehicle experience and free test drives, which ignited enthusiasm among students and faculty alike—creating a striking contrast to the cold weather.

The event was guided and supported in person by Department Chair Dr. Liao Chih-Chieh, who also presented the awards. Professors Shen Kai-Hsuan and Lin Chih-Kuan from the senior year team handled the event’s planning and execution, while Professor Chang Chih-Sheng led first-year students in joining their senior peers to enthusiastically take part, making this event a resounding success.
